THE MUFON FILES

Imagine what it would be like... you are driving along a country road at night. A bright light appears out of nowhere and hovers over your car. The next thing you know, you are strapped onto an operating table surrounded by strange creatures. You scream but nothing comes out. Is this a dream? Back at home you realize you have lost time, are soaking wet for no reason and have a strange object imbedded in you. Images of the abduction haunt you day and night. There is no other logical explanation. You’re not crazy. But no one believes you. They won’t listen. Until now.

In June of 2021 the Office of the Director of National Intelligence was forced to admit that between 2004 and 2021, there were 144 encounters reported by US Military pilots, 80 of which were captured on multiple sensors. Following more than a year of attention on recently declassified documents pertaining to unidentified flying objects observed by military pilots, the US Government quietly established a public facing organization to address these incidents in the hopes that military and other professionals will be more comfortable reporting their experiences without the fear of stigma and try to avert the publics frustration at being kept ‘in the dark’.

The Pentagons new “All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office” (AARO), which was created in July 2022 specifically to track reports of unidentified flying objects, received “several hundreds” of new reports before the end of last year. The AARO is responsible for not only tracking unidentified objects in the sky, but also underwater or in space — including objects that have the ability to move from one domain to the next.

With decades of official denials from government officials on record however, and countless examples of citizens being threatened into silence, few people trust that this new office will be anything more than a gatekeeper of the TRUTH.

Enter MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network.

Established by independent researchers, scientists, and enthusiasts in 1969. MUFON picks up where the Pentagons new All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office and the U.S. Air Force UFO investigation program “Project Blue Book” leave off, and for 50 years has remained the largest and most scientifically-based UFO investigative organization in the world. As the oldest UFO phenomenon investigative body, they aim to be the inquisitive minds' refuge, seeking answers to that most ancient question, “Are we alone in the universe?”

MUFON now has more than 3,000 members worldwide, with a majority of its membership base situated in the continental United States. Over 300 of their members are PhD’s and many are retired military with first hand knowledge and UFO experience. MUFON receives a staggering 500-1000 UFO reports per month. They’ve stepped up their involvement by creating a worldwide network of over 800 certified field investigators that are dispatched within 48 hours. Their jobs? To interview witnesses, collect the evidence, and issue a scientific report. But, while it isn’t part of their official duties, the MUFON investigators often find themselves providing help and comfort to individuals who may be frightened, confused or distressed by what they’ve gone through.

MUFON field investigators attempt to filter out hoaxes, mistakes, and objects that can be identified by using the scientific method. They are left with riveting Cases of Interest. The witnesses are ready to share their harrowing experiences in the hopes it will help others who have experienced beings from beyond this planet.

THE MUFON FILES will combine stylized verite’ for the investigators’ call to action and meeting the witnesses with cinematic re-creations of the harrowing incident!

Episodic Components

COLD OPEN: ”MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network, the largest scientific research organization in the world, receives an average of 700 reports of sightings and encounters with unknown beings per month. The field team of scientists are quickly dispatched to investigate. The witnesses recall their horrifying experience with chilling detail. These are their stories.”

CALL TO ACTION: Field investigators rush to the location to meet the witness, who has just reported an incident. A seasoned, local MUFON field investigator is joined by experts (forensics, hypnotherapists, scientists, aerospace engineers, etc.) specifically called in for each case.

THE INCIDENT: Our witness tells the dramatic first person accounts of their horrifying, peculiar extraterrestrial encounters, beat by beat with an emotional recollection. The witness may be joined by other witnesses, or family members who have experienced similar phenomena or alterations in their behavior after the incident.

CINEMATIC RE-CREATIONS: Cinematic re-creations illustrate the harrowing incident as the witness tells the story.

INVESTIGATION: Utilizing the Scientific Method, investigators ask leading questions, interview more witnesses, test evidence, and find data about weather/air craft etc.

THE FINDINGS: Investigators reveal their findings. We present the facts but don’t draw an actual conclusion. That is for the audience to decide.
